For educators
You went solo to teach. The app handles the admin.
SkillPort runs your practice: courses, classes, attendance, students, fees and e-Invoice — opened with the answer already on the screen.
Free during early access · iOS and Android

What an educator gets
SkillPort gives one educator a complete practice on a phone. You set up a course and its classes once; the calendar generates every session; the register is waiting the moment a class starts, and says so until it is marked; every student's fees, invoices and payments sit on one screen; a learner or guardian sends a bank-in slip and you verify it with the slip in front of you; and when an e-Invoice is needed it goes to LHDN's MyInvois without leaving the app. And a public profile, with ads against the skills and areas you teach, is how a learner finds you in the first place.
What it does every week
The eight things you do every week, done from the Today screen.
- 01
Calendar & sessions
Create a class with its days, time and run; every session is generated. The month view marks only the days that need you.
- 02
Attendance
When a class starts and attendance is waiting, a red dot says so. Mark everyone, add a remark, and the dot is gone. No dot means nothing is waiting.
- 03
Students & guardians
One card per person. Link a guardian, invite them to the app, and they see their child's record without you forwarding anything.
- 04
Remarks that become the record
A line after each lesson — what was covered, how it went — is what a parent reads that evening, and what you both look back on at exam time.
- 05
Fees, invoices & payments
Issue an invoice, record a payment, see who is behind. Amounts line up in a proper column, and the ledger is derived, never typed.
- 06
Payments to verify
A family pays and sends the slip from their own app. It lands in your queue with the slip beside it. Verify or reject, with the evidence in view.
- 07
LHDN e-Invoice
Authorise SkillPort as your intermediary in MyTax once, then submit consolidated e-Invoices to MyInvois from the app. Rejections and validation results come straight back to you.
- 08
Messages, scoped to the class
A conversation per class and one-to-one threads with learners and guardians you actually teach. Replies can be switched off per class.
Offer a skill
Being good at it is not the same as being findable.
A public profile is how a learner finds you — what you teach, where, your credentials, and reviews from people who have actually studied with you. It costs nothing to publish, and one tap hides it again. An ad sits beside it, naming one skill and the areas you teach it in, and goes where people are already looking; the plan every new educator starts on includes one live ad. Where you post one, the app shows you what learners near you have been searching for — “14 people looked for piano near Kulai this month” — counts only, never who.
- Target real places: a state, a town, the neighbourhoods you cover — or teach online and be found from anywhere.
- Fees in your own words, not a number we set. There is no price sort, so nobody is ranked for being cheapest.
- Reviews come only from people who studied with you, and you can answer any of them in public.
Questions people ask
Do I need a computer to use SkillPort?
No. SkillPort is a phone app first. Everything — setting up classes, marking attendance, issuing an invoice, submitting an e-Invoice — is done on the phone you teach with.
Can my students and their parents see what I record?
Only what is theirs. A learner sees their own classes, remarks and fees. A guardian sees their linked children's. Neither sees another student, and nobody sees your practice as a whole.
Do learners and guardians need to install the app?
Only if you want them to see their own record. You can run your whole practice yourself and invite people later. A learner or guardian you invite creates their own account and sees only what is theirs — their classes, the remarks on them and their fees, nobody else’s.
How do learners find me in the first place?
Through a public profile you publish yourself, and ads you post against the skills and areas you teach. Learners search by skill and place — or by postcode — and see the educators who match, sorted by rating, review count or recency. Publishing the profile costs nothing; an ad runs on an ad credit, and your plan includes one.
